Divisions: DI Mixed, D2 Mixed, Fall Fun Tournament
When: November 11-12
Where: Long Lake Regional Park
Tournament Fee: $450

Please Note: We require a minimum of 12 players on your roster to compete at the State Championships! If you do not think you can field this number of players please let us know in the Early Bid Form and we will do our best to help.

For the Mixed Division, we require a minimum of 6 Female Matching Players on your roster.

CRITICAL DEADLINES AND DATES :

We are trying to get to at least 12 teams for DI Mixed State. District qualifying will begin through match play the last two weeks of AYU League as noted on the schedule.

October 6th – DEADLINE TO SUBMIT YOUR EARLY BID FOR THE STATE TOURNAMENT

  • This helps us plan for number of teams and format
  • It also ensures we can follow up with you regarding other deadlines!

october 27th  –OFFICIAL USAU REGISTRATION DEADLINE FOR STATE

november 1st – DEADLINE TO SUBMIT STATE TOURNAMENT FEE

  • Cost – $450*
  • *We may be reducing this cost for D2 and Fun Division depending on # of teams and whether there will be enough teams for a 1 day or 2 day tournament
  • SUBMIT PAYMENT ONLINE

November 10th – rostering deadline

  • Rostering will be left open until the day before the event. PLEASE make sure no players take the field until they are up to date with USAU and added to your roster!

OTHER THINGS TO NOTE:

  • Single School Representation / Player Eligibility required
    • If you have players on your roster that are NOT full time students at the school being represented you must seek an exception. Competing with ineligible players could get your team disqualified. If you have players from other schools on your team reach out to us BEFORE State to make sure your situation is approved. Please see the Eligibility Requirements Doc for more information.
  • Safe Sport – ANY adult working with your team must take USAU’s SafeSport Certification! Know the law and protect your staff and volunteers!

 Note: We want the top 12 or 16 teams competing at the D1 tournament! While new programs may opt to skip District Qualifying and opt directly into D2, all other teams are expected to participate in District Qualifying and take their bid to D1 if they earn it!

HOW TIES WILL BE AWARDED
  • Bids are awarded in order #1 then #2 then #3 then #4
  • If there’s still a tie after what’s written below, final tie breaks are decided by previous year’s average spirit score amongst tied geographical districts)

HOW UNUSED BIDS ARE AWARDED

Any Unused Bids will be awarded based on the current year’s DI registration. For example: The first unused bid goes to the District with the most teams currently registered in DI, Second unused bid goes to the District with the 2nd most teams currently registered in DI, etc…..

When there are less than 16 teams are requesting to play DI – When there are less than 16 requesting to play DI State, the tournament will host a set number of teams based on this schedule:

  • >16 – 16 team DI Tournament (Bids are awarded as written)
  • 15-12 – 12 team DI Tournament (each division starts with one less auto bid)
  • 11-10 – 10 team DI Tournament (each division starts with one less auto bid and no size or growth bids awarded)
  • 9-8 – 8 team DI Tournament (each division gets one bid and the last 4 bids awarded will be Strength 1 and 2 along with Size and Growth)
  • <8 – A round robin Tournament will include all teams
