Fall 2026 AU HS LEAGUE
The Fall High School season is host to our Mixed Division and Mixed Development Division. The Fall includes a League and State Championship tournament. Teams are required to match gender numbers for the Mixed Division.
- The league will begin on September 10th and run for 7-8 weeks.
- Default game days will be Thursdays.
** Game days may be changed if agreed upon by both teams**
- The team fee for the league will be $60.
- The league will be sanctioned, so all players will need to be USA Ultimate members, and each team will need a cleared chaperone on the roster
- The registration deadline is 9/2/26
Mixed Division Rules
Teams playing in the mixed division are required to maintain a 4:3 gender ratio, with 4 male matching and 3 female matching players on the field at all times.
** Pulling Rule **
We will continue to adopt the pull rule used in the Club Mixed Division. This means that teams will alternate female matching and male matching pullers. The game starts out with a switch after the first point, and then every two points after, like this: ABBAABBAA, etc….
If your team is pulling first you choose who is pulling first. The next point, regardless of who scores, will be the opposite gender pulling for the next two pulls, then we switch after every 2 points.
Mixed Development League (Previously AYU Funplay League)
If you are a new or inexperienced team and do not have enough girls for Mixed you can register for the Mixed Development League, which will be an Open Division with no gender ratio requirement. Girls are encouraged to participate in this division and wherever possible we ask that teams match gender ratio on the field, whether it is 6:1 or 5:2.
Please note, the Development League is NOT for experienced open teams. Unless you are a first or second year team or you have a B/C Team, please contact us before signing up for the Development League
Eligibility Exceptions
New this year – EVERYONE (each program) is required to fill out this form! If you do not have any exceptions to request, please still fill it out. It will only take 60 seconds as you simply mark “no exceptions.” Fill out by September 30th.

PLAYING GAMES:
Please be sure to get in touch with your opponent at least 1 week prior to your scheduled game to confirm your game day, time, and location. You can find team contacts using the Team Finder.
- 2026-27 USA Ultimate Rules
- The home team is responsible for securing the field.
- Please remember that game dates may be changed as long as agreed upon by both teams.
- All games should be played to 13
- 90 minute hard cap / NO SOFT CAP (Teams can agree to longer if time and light permits)
- 1 timeout per half + 1 floater
- After games are played, please remember to report your scores AND Spirit Scores.
- Gender switching pulls will follow the club pattern (ABBAABBAA) with the team pulling first deciding the first pull gender (for Fall mixed season).
