Meet Ari Nelson, one of the U20 Cutthroat Girls Coaches!
We asked Ari some questions so we could get to know them better!
Q: Where are you originally from and if not from Colorado, what got you to move here?
A: I’m originally from Seattle. I did my undergrad in Boston and moved here for grad school and to play Molly Brown!
Q: What are you happiest doing, when you’re not working or playing ultimate or coaching ultimate?
A: Listening to music and cuddling with my puppy.
Q: Greatest accomplishment or ultimate moment?
A: Making the U24 Women’s Team with a broken back.
Q: Do you have any skills or talents that most people don’t know about?
A: I am a jazz singer!
Q: What was your favorite food in high school and now?
A: Same favorite food my whole life – Sushi
Q: Who is someone you admire, and why?
A: I admire Lisa Pitcaithley because she has been such a light in my life and is such a fierce competitor. She also gives her all to things she cares about, and is a huge icon.
Q: Name a few of your daily habits (other than a shower and brushing your teeth).
A: Going to the gym, taking Khai for a walk, doing 1247098 hours of homework.
Q: Flashback to when you were 10 years old. What do you want to be when you grow up?
A: Definitely a teacher.
