Disc/Diversity and Altitude Youth Ultimate (AYU) are proud to present the Colorado stop of the Con10enT Tour! The Con10enT Tour is an effort to bring together Ultimate players from around the country to showcase Black excellence and joy and to provide inclusive spaces and representation for Black people in Ultimate.
As we move into a more safe and vaccinated reality, and likely tournament season, we want to make sure that the lessons we’ve been learning from Black Lives Matter and our commitment to racial equity do not get forgotten.
Earlier this summer, USA Ultimate, Altitude Youth Ultimate and other local disc organizations around the country stood in solidarity with Black members of the ultimate community in denouncing the police violence and systemic racism that has afflicted the Black community for centuries and continues to marginalize them to this day.
The Altitude Youth Ultimate board is appalled at the oppression by police of black and brown people that — while a long-standing issue in this country — has been most recently brought to light by the murders of George Floyd, Breonna Taylor, Elijah McCain and many others.
Marissa will be responsible for developing a relationship with community partners and fostering youth Ultimate in racially diverse and historically marginalized communities in Denver.
A new opportunity for high school players to work on their skills and give back to the community this summer. These clinics will happen every Wednesday from 3:30-7pm during the summer from June 13 – August 15
